Hello steemians! How is your week going? Continuing with this colorful series, today I want to present my illustration of a turtle in the mandala style, "they know how much I like them", and at the same time talk about the symbolism of this little animal and what he represents. Are you following the series?
Turtles are considered an irrefutable symbol of longevity, since there are ancient fossils of this species that date back 200 million years. The main characteristic of his personality is his carefree attitude, which is why he is considered a wise soul in the animal world.
Over time the turtles have enjoyed great religious and mythological value, are considered a thousand-year-old symbol of wisdom, accumulated in so many years of life, through experience.
They are tenacious in their walk and do not stop because of adversity, they are definitely very persistent, which would be a great analogy for us humans, an example of how we must face the situations that arise, to reach our goals.
These animals are associated with both land and water. Many cultures relate it to the creation of the universe.
Throughout the world, many people believe that having turtles as pets is good luck, it is also considered that they give good energy and attract good health, because they are long-lived animals.

Some species of marine turtles live 150 years, terrestrial ones even 50 years. Here in Venezuela we call them morrocoy and there are many beliefs and superstitions that arise around them. Tell me something, do you like turtles? What do you think of them?
