Save Money For The Future

As a kid, how do your parents respond whenever you ask them to buy the things that you want? Are they the type who would spoil rotten you and give whatever you want? Or are they the one who always says no at whatever you point at them? Whatever kind of parents you had, did they teach you this one: to save money especially for the future? If yes, that is great because they made you prepared. If not yet, do not worry. I will tell you why on this post.

The ways to save.

There are two reasons why all of us save money. The one is for the short term and the other is for the long term. The short term savings is the type of savings you would use immediately. An example and the obvious reason for that is buying the latest gadget. Whenever you heard about the latest gadget and you had no budget for that, what would you do? Save money for that, of course! Is anyone guilty of that?

As for the long-term, these are the types of savings that must not be touched until it is needed. An example of that is the different type of funds: education, business, medical, and emergency.

Personally, I used to be the short-term saver especially when I was young. I was that kind of person who would save money for anything I want. As I got matured, that was where I realized that long-term saving is better.

Reasons why should you save for the future.

Have you ever had an experience of the following due to lack of money?

1. You cannot send your child to school.
2. A family member is hospitalized but you cannot pay the bill.
3. Your car or house needed to be repaired but you cannot do it.

If you say yes to any of these, it is time for you to save money so that you are already prepared if that happens again.
