Singapore Garden Festival 2018 <Fantasy Gardens & Floral Windows to the World>
There are 2 indoor garden shows for Singapore Garden Festival 2018, which’s Fantasy Gardens, and Floral Windows to the World.
Below are some nice views I had taken, especially those received Gold and Silver Awards.
1st one is the Best of Show, Horticulture Excellence Award and Gold Award for Fantasy Garden Shows. The design concept is ‘African Thunder’. The designer is Leon Kluge from South Africa, and the implementing partner is Nyee Phoe Flower Garden Pte Ltd.
Thunder rolls over the dry grassy savannahs, transforming the sky with streaks of fire into a rice display of flaming colour. The rain falls bring life to the dry landscape. This is a very vibrant, unique and impressive design. I personally salute their great works.
2nd one is the best outdoor lighting Award and Gold Award for Fantasy Garden Shows. The design concept is ‘Precious Land. The designer is Tom Massey from United Kingdom and implementing partner from Kiat Lee Landscape & Building Pte Ltd.
The big moon light with a big tree are attracting many visitors as it’s so eye-catching and remind us the Mid-autumn is coming soon. I feel if the big tree species can change to Ficus tree (Banyan), it will be much impressed and strongly emphasis the sense of mid-autumn festival.
3rd one is the Silver Awards for Fantasy Garden Shows. The design concept is ‘Green Tourbillon’. An accumulation of raw wood pieces, stretched to the sky. There are an opening path for visitors to walk into the garden.
4th one is the garden shows from National Parks. It’s located next to the main entrance. The design mainly using orchid flowers which’s remind us the Singapore National Day is coming soon.
Next, let me share with you about Floral Windows to the World. This is a showcase of beautiful flowers, creatively and delicately designed by local and international floral designers.
The 1st is an attractive and impressed one with design concept ‘Tears of Joy’ by a local designer Niar Jacklowsky.
‘Tears of Joy’ inspired by the symbol of the human eye. Eyes are mirror or window to the soul. When tears drop, the mind can turn what is negative into positive.
The 2nd one is Bronze Award for Floral Windows to the World. The design concept is ‘Possibilities’. The beautiful flowers in test tubes all hanging around which’s presented elegant and graceful of the flowers.
The 3rd one is designed by a France designer. The concept is ‘Metamorphosis between Proserpine and Flora’.
The last is Silver Award for Floral Windows to the World and designed by a local designer. The design concept is ‘Irisation’. The shadow and reflection of clouds are cascading down to the white background.

Thanks @kimzwarch. Yes, same as you I love tears of joy too. It's very impressed with nice design concept. But its sad that it didn't get any award for the show.
Different taste from the jury I guess? Some others were great works too, they all deserve the exposure.
