Healthy and tasty breakfast | Oatmeal with granola and toast with homemade jam and cream cheese

Hello friends, today I share with you a simple recipe for a healthy, tasty and nutritious breakfast.



For the people who live in Venezuela it is very easy to fall into the routine of eating breakfast daily arepas, empanadas, cachitos or other types of food made of refined flours, meats and cheeses. Eating these foods repeatedly and in large quantities can have negative consequences for health and to avoid these consequences it is good to add to the daily diet the intake of fresh fruits, nuts, cereals and sweeteners healthier as honey from birds.

Today we will not make a Step by Step Guide on how to prepare this breakfast as it is very simple and I do not think it is necessary, besides the version of how you want or can prepare your breakfast will vary from the ingredients you have at home.

In this case the ingredients I used are:

For the oatmeal with granola.

  1. Oatmeal flakes.
  2. Corn flakes.
  3. Raisins.
  4. Dark chocolate.
  5. Honey.
  6. Crushed almonds.

For the toast.

  1. Whole-grain bread slices.
  2. Cream cheese.

Preparation

Add 2 cups of water to a metal pot and regulate the heat over medium heat. Add 1 cup of oatmeal (a little less if you want the more diluted oatmeal). Cook for about 15 minutes while stirring every now and then until you see that the oats are thick and homogeneous. Then serve it in a deep dish and add the ingredients that will make up your granola.

You can use almost anything to supplement oatmeal like fruits; banana, strawberry, peach and others are very good. In the case of nuts, you can also use almost anything: peanuts, walnuts, toasted sesame seeds, cashews, among others.

For toast you can use an electric oven, a toaster or ultimately a frying pan. Spread the jam and cream cheese and you're done. Obviously you can use other spreadable foods like butter, cream or other.
