Mundo Océano
Los mundos océanos lo maravillaban, por alguna razón desconocida para él, sería la suerte o el destino, en su carrera como ingeniero ambiental, sólo le habían tocado la inspección de este tipo de planteas, varios de ellos, mucho más grandes que el mundo del cual provenían los humanos, otros más pequeños, pero todos ellos tenían en común poseer un inmenso océano de agua líquida que cubría toda su superficie.Con el tiempo había empezado a encariñarse con este tipo de planetas y su increíble monotonía.
Ya entre los ingenieros ambientales, se había creado el rumor de que los escogía así por gusto, pero en realidad no era su intensión, parecía una especie de extraña broma del destino, que en todos los sistemas planetarios que se le encomendaban revisar, el planeta más prometedor resultaba ser uno de éstos.
Una de las características más destacables de estos planetas y lo que los hacia ser precisamente lo que eran, era la casi competa carencia de tectónica de placas, en ellos, la corteza sumergida, era casi completamente uniforme, y existía pocos movimientos convectivos del magma en el manto, a causa de esto, no existían choques de placas que hicieran emerger las tierras sumergidas para formar continentes. Para Homer, este sería el décimo planeta con condiciones de habitabilidad en su carrera y continuando con su racha, sería también el décimo mundo océano al que daba esta categoría.
Según los escaneo previos desde la órbita baja, tenía una atmósfera compatible en un cincuenta por ciento con los requerimientos humanos, y su mar, con escasa presencia de sales minerales, era prácticamente bebestible, como casi todos los otros planetas de este tipo, no eran aptos para la vida marina terrestre, pero si adecuados para especies de agua dulce, nativas de la tierra y para aquellas especies desarrolladas especialmente para poblar este tipo de planetas, como los delfines gigantes y los cangrejos verdes de caparazón blando.
Homer acuatizo en medio de ninguna parte en el inmenso océano, con el fin de escanear la geología del planeta, para su sorpresa el mar era menos profundo de lo que parecía y sorpresivamente, los sensores electromagnéticos le confirmaron la existencia de cadenas montañosas submarinas justo bajo la posición donde se encontraba.
-¡Este planeta tiene movimientos tectónicos!- exclamó para si mismo en su sorpresa, había encontrado una aguja en un pajar, un planeta océano en pleno proceso de formación de masas continentales.
Fue aún mayor su sorpresa, cuando los sensores sísmicos detectaron un intenso movimiento que pareció fracturar la corteza del planeta, jamás en su vida pensó poder presenciar esto, hizo elevase la nave desde su posición justo para ver cómo, a unos tres kilómetros de donde se encontraba, el mar empezaba a agitarse en violentas ondulaciones que parecían hacerlo elevar y descender su nivel, formando descomunales olas que se movían radialmente formando anillos.
Lo más rápido que pudo, lanzó una sonda de exploración que se dirigiera al lugar donde el fenómeno ocurría, para su sorpresa se trataba de la erupción de un gigantesco volcán submarino, a poco más de un kilómetro de profundidad, una gigantesca nube de gases empezó a emerger del agua, en la superficie, mientras en el fondo la sonda registraba el inmenso flujo piroclástico que emanaba de la caldera, un violento torrente de rocas y ceniza incandescente formaban una descomunal columna en medio de las casi traslucidas aguas del océano.
Estaba maravillado ante tal fenómeno, después de varios siglos de explorar y catalogar mundos océanos, por primera vez se encontraba con un planeta geológicamente activo, y le daba la sorpresa mostrarle toda la violencia de la que su interior era capaz.

According to previous scans from low orbit, it had an atmosphere that was fifty percent compatible with human requirements, and its sea, with a scarce presence of mineral salts, was practically drinkable, as almost all other planets of this type were not. suitable for terrestrial marine life, but suitable for freshwater species, native to the earth and for those species developed especially to populate this type of planets, such as giant dolphins and soft-shelled green crabs.
Homer aquatized in the middle of nowhere in the immense ocean, in order to scan the geology of the planet, to his surprise the sea was shallower than it seemed and surprisingly, the electromagnetic sensors confirmed the existence of underwater mountain ranges just under the position where he was.

He was amazed at such a phenomenon, after several centuries of exploring and cataloging oceans worlds, for the first time he was with a geologically active planet, and he was surprised to show him all the violence of which his interior was capable.
