Los Goeis
Durante todo este tiempo sólo una forma de vida inteligente había sido encontrada por los humanos de Perseo y fue en su propio mundo de origen, la Tierra, se hacían llamar los Goeis, y habían llegado ahí, tras vagar varios miles de años en naves generacionales, después de que su planeta de origen, al cual llamaban Madre, se había vuelto inhabitable.
Los Goeis son una especie de gran complejidad, al menos para los estándares humanos, desde el punto de vista morfológico tienen una estructura de simetría tetraradial, con forma de bala y cuatro apéndices o extremidades superiores, terminados en unos rudimentos que asemejaban a las manos humanas, pero similares a pinzas y cuatro apéndices o extremidades inferiores sobre las que pueden desplazarse erguidos, pero también pueden hacerlo de forma horizontal, reptando o impulsándose simultáneamente con sus apéndices superiores o inferiores.
Su sociedad estaba dividida en clanes o linajes, como ellos los llamaban, que se mantenían separados y no solían tener contacto entre ellos, sólo en los contados casos en los que fuese necesario para la sobrevivencia de la especie, como fue durante su migración, desde su mundo nativo; esta separación de clanes, en varias ocasiones había degenerado en conflictos que condujeron a matanzas. A pesar de la separación de los linajes y su independencia, mantenían un gobierno centralizado que regía las grandes decisiones que debían ser respetadas por todos los clanes.
Su sociedad era matriarcal, donde los individuos de género femenino, eran los que llevaban el control del gobierno y se encargaban de las grandes decisiones, sin embargo esta característica varia en situaciones de conflicto o desastre en las cuales el dominio pasaba a los de genero masculino, pero esta diferencia en las posiciones de los géneros son en realidad irrelevantes, pues los Goeis, tienen la facultad de cambiar de genero a voluntad, así la mayor parte del tiempo el número predominante de individuos es femenino, pero en tiempos conmoción predominan los individuos masculinos.
La reproducción de los Goeis es asexual, dos veces en su vida cada individuo se duplica a si mismo, en un infante que es asumido por toda la sociedad como un hijo del linaje por eso aun cuando es producto de un solo individuo en realidad el vínculo genético lo tiene con todo su linaje, con el cual comparte el genoma. Una de las consecuencias más interesantes de esto es el hecho de conservar una memoria colectiva de todos los acontecimientos del linaje, así cada nuevo infante nace con las memorias de todos sus ancestros en línea directa, si bien esta memoria se degrada parcialmente, por lo que nadie conserva recuerdos de los inicios de su propio clan, si las conservan de muchas generaciones previas.
La característica más interesante y a la vez la que provocó mayores conflictos al interactuar con esta especie, fue su intrincado proceso de comunicación, a diferencia de los humanos en los que la comunicación personal, se da principalmente a través de la palabra hablada, en los Goeis, la comunicación también tiene un alto componente de intercambio de feromonas, que les permiten transmitir emociones, a través de aromas que se difunden rápidamente en el aire y que pueden ser percibidas a grandes distancias, además y más interesante aun, los individuos de un mismo linaje comparte un vínculo empático, que les permite compartir experiencias y emociones sin mediar palabras o emanaciones, esta combinación de canales de comunicación, y el como era libremente usada por los individuos, según el momento y sus necesidades, hizo sumamente difícil, la comunicación con su especie, llevando a malentendidos involuntarios que estuvieron a punto de conducir a una conflagración entre ambas especies.
El contacto con esta especie planteó un gran reto para la humanidad, que los condujo a realizar por primera vez en su nueva historia, la movilización masiva de fuerzas militares, llevando a tener que recurrir a la coacción para poder llevar a cabo la misión que había sido planteada, después de lo cual se retiraron de la Tierra, con el compromiso de no volver a interferir en la vida de los Goeis. Este compromiso se mantendría siempre que ellos, si alguna vez en el futuro se proponían colonizar otros mundos, no se acercaran a los planetas poblados por los humanos.

The Goeis
During all this time only one form of intelligent life had been found by Perseus' humans and it was in their own world of origin, the Earth, they called themselves the Goeis, and they had arrived there, after wandering several thousand years in generational ships, after their planet of origin, which they called Mother, had become uninhabitable.
The Goeis are a species of great complexity, at least by human standards, from the morphological point of view they have a structure of tetraradial symmetry, with the shape of a bullet and four appendages or upper extremities, ending in rudiments that resemble human hands, but similar to tweezers and four appendages or lower extremities over which they can move upright, but they can also do it horizontally, crawling or pushing simultaneously with their upper or lower appendages.
Their society was divided into clans or lineages, as they called them, which were kept separate and did not usually have contact with each other, only in the few cases in which it was necessary for the survival of the species, as it was during its migration, from its native world; this separation of clans, on several occasions had degenerated into conflicts that led to massacres. Despite the separation of the lineages and their independence, they maintained a centralized government that governed the great decisions that had to be respected by all the clans.
Their society was matriarchal, where the individuals of feminine gender, were those that took control of the government and were in charge of the great decisions, nevertheless this characteristic varies in situations of conflict or disaster in which the dominion passed to those of masculine gender, but this difference in the positions of the genders are in reality irrelevant, because the Goeis, have the faculty to change from gender to will, thus most of the time the predominant number of individuals is feminine, but in times of commotion the masculine individuals predominate.
The reproduction of the Goeis is asexual, twice in its life each individual doubles itself, in an infant that is assumed by all society as a child of the lineage for that reason even when it is product of a single individual in reality the genetic bond has it with all its lineage, with which it shares the genome. One of the most interesting consequences of this is the fact of preserving a collective memory of all the events of the lineage, thus each new infant is born with the memories of all his ancestors in direct line, although this memory is partially degraded, so that nobody preserves memories of the beginnings of his own clan, if they preserve them from many previous generations.
The most interesting characteristic and at the same time the one that provoked the greatest conflicts when interacting with this species, was its intricate process of communication, unlike the humans in which the personal communication, is given mainly through the spoken word, in the Goeis, the communication also has a high component of exchange of pheromones, that allow them to transmit emotions, through aromas that spread quickly in the air and that can be perceived at great distances, In addition and more interestingly, individuals of the same lineage share an empathic bond, which allows them to share experiences and emotions without mediating words or emanations, this combination of communication channels, and the way it was freely used by individuals, according to the moment and their needs, made communication with their species extremely difficult, leading to involuntary misunderstandings that almost led to a conflagration between the two species.
The contact with this species posed a great challenge for humanity, which led them to carry out for the first time in their new history, the massive mobilization of military forces, leading to having to resort to coercion to carry out the mission that had been raised, after which they withdrew from Earth, with the commitment not to interfere again in the life of the Goeis. This commitment would be maintained as long as they, if they ever intended to colonize other worlds in the future, did not approach the planets populated by humans.
