El Zoológico Terrestre
Al empezar a desaparecer la vida marina, debido al envenenamiento de los mares terrestres, los humanos se empeñaron en colectar el mayor número de formas de vida que fuera posible, para ellos se construyeron bancos de embriones, que se resguardaron en lugares seguros del planeta a la espera de que fueran recuperados por los humanos del futuro, mientras que algunas otras especies fueron colocadas, junto a los propios humanos, en la selección de formas de vida que serían enviadas, también en forma de embriones, en las naves colonizadoras.
Los descendientes de Perseo, se enteraron de la existencia de estos bancos de embriones, al poco tiempo de empezar a recuperar antiguos repositorios de datos, que estaban en los restos de las colonas del sistema solar y en la propia Tierra.
Uno de los documentos recuperados más apreciados por los descendientes de Perseo, fue una particular presentación holográfica realizada para una feria infantil, que mostraba una caminata interactiva de varios kilómetros por un arrecife de Coral, en él, obviando las quizá inapropiadas promociones en forma de logotipos o nombres de marcas incorporados como parte del paisaje del arrecife, que fueron colocadas a petición de los patrocinantes financistas del proyecto, se podía recorrer y conocer la abundancia y variedad de formas de vida de los arrecifes de coral. Mostrando la riqueza de vida que alguna vez tuvo el planeta.
Presentaciones similares fueron encontradas, que mostraban el ecosistema del bosque nublado, las sabanas y las regiones costeras, pero no eran tan ricas en variedad y complejidad como la del arrecife de coral, probablemente debido a que la Tierra ya había sufrido un evento cataclísmico previo al envenenamiento de los mares, que había extinto la casi totalidad de la vida terrestre y cambiando la configuración de los continentes.
Las presentaciones fueron llevadas de regreso a los nuevos mundos, donde fueron reconstruidas, retirada la publicidad y adaptadas a las nuevas tecnologías, se construyeron instalaciones de proyección holográfica en varios planetas, para que los humanos de los nuevos mundos pudiesen conocer la riqueza de la vida en su antiguo planeta hogar. Estas instalaciones fueron llamadas el Zoológico Terrestre, haciendo errónea referencia a lo que ellos creían, habían sido refugios urbanos para los animales y no los centros de cautiverio que una vez fueron en realidad la mayoría de los zoológicos de las ciudades de la Tierra.
Aparte de las escasas especies que acompañaron a los colonos en su viaje, este zoológico fue el único acceso que pudieron tener los humanos descendientes de Perseo, a la rica fauna que una vez tuvo la Tierra, ya que después casi veinte mil años resguardados, los embriones que habían sido preservados en los bancos dejadas atrás en la Tierra, se habían perdido, cuando los sistemas que los mantenían con vida habían fallado.

When marine life began to disappear, due to the poisoning of the terrestrial seas, humans insisted on collecting as many forms of life as possible, for them embryo banks were built, which were sheltered in safe places of the planet waiting to be recovered by the humans of the future, while some other species were placed, together with the humans themselves, in the selection of life forms that would be sent, also in the form of embryos, in the colonizing ships.
The descendants of Perseus learned of the existence of these embryo banks, shortly after beginning to recover old data repositories, which were in the remains of the colonies of the solar system and on Earth itself.
One of the most appreciated documents recovered by the descendants of Perseus, was a particular holographic presentation made for a children's fair, which showed an interactive walk of several kilometers through a coral reef, in it, avoiding the perhaps inappropriate promotions in the form of logos or brand names incorporated as part of the reef landscape, which were placed at the request of the sponsors of the project, you could travel and know the abundance and variety of life forms of coral reefs. Showing the richness of life that the planet once had.
Similar presentations were found, showing the cloud forest ecosystem, savannas and coastal regions, but not as rich in variety and complexity as the coral reef, probably because the Earth had already suffered a cataclysmic event prior to the poisoning of the seas, which had extinguished almost all terrestrial life and changed the configuration of the continents.
Presentations were taken back to the new worlds, where they were rebuilt, publicity removed and adapted to new technologies, holographic projection facilities were built on several planets, so that the humans of the new worlds could know the richness of life on their old home planet. These facilities were called the Earth Zoo, erroneously referring to what they believed had been urban refuges for animals and not the centers of captivity that once were actually most of the zoos in Earth's cities.
Apart from the few species that accompanied the settlers on their journey, this zoo was the only access that humans of Perseus' descent could have to the rich fauna that the Earth once had, since after almost twenty thousand years, the embryos that had been preserved in the banks left behind on Earth had been lost, when the systems that kept them alive had failed.
