Many times I’ve heard singing in the wilderness, often very sad songs in beautiful tones. I’ve always associated it with nature spirits weeping for the planet. Everything the elder said is so true as well! Everything is sacred! No church or temple required. I love his explanation of the use of inhospitable areas!
