What Not to Do When Recruiting People to Steemit
So my friend writes short stories, and seemed curious about how Steemit works. I am a Freshman in High School, and she is a Senior, so she needs money for college. As I said, she was curious about how Steemit works, so I sent her this chart my dad made.
She responded, 'That's a lot of big words, besides you went from making hundreds of dollars to making 12." I said "Yes, but it is going to go up when they release the next hard fork." and obviously she had no idea what a hardfork was, so I sent her the link to Proposed Changes to Steem Economy. For those of you who have never read this article, here is a good analogy to my situation. You meet someone who wants to become a United States citizen, so you send them the United States tax code. Anyway, the point is she didn't like the big words in that chart, and this article has far more big words. She still hasn't responded, and I guess she lost interest. Next time I might as well send her the entire original book Les Misérables in the original French, or a copy of the Rosetta Stone. For anyone interested, could you please refer me to a good article that explains Steemit to noobs, because clearly I need help :)
Yes, blockchain tech is something you gradually explain as they start making rewards and need to cash out. That way the "hands on" will enrich their learning experience.
