Steem Pope Short Sermon: Resteeming Services
Has someone ever sent you 0.001 STEEM or SBD and advertised resteeming to thousands of followers in exchange for payment in the memo? It is a scam. All it will most likely do is enrich a shady bot-herder. Don't fall for it.
Even if you do get a lot of plankton bot-votes, it doesn't create engagement. People who do nothing but re-steem don't usually have active followers, you're unlikely to recoup your expenditure, and you've just given money to someone too lazy to create actual content.
Should you still feel tempted by the allure of such schemes, send your STEEM or SBD to the Steem Pope instead! I don't promise resteems or upvotes, but I will grant absolution for your gullibility!

I like that you promote and demonstrate that Steemit is not only a platform that we can monetize, but it is also a platform to which we must offer true value, quality content, sincere comments, popular vote only if you really like the content, etc. I think that's the right way to do something great and that will last over time.

I find many of them rather funny. Some of them appear to even have a few hundred accounts when I looked into them many months back. Anything they resteem” had “hundreds” of votes from this one service I forgot the name of. All worthless votes lol.
What people fail to realize when you pay for certain types of promotion here you could be hurting your chances to help out by the different kinds of groups that look for undervalued posts.
There are lots a few places out there if your post is undervalued and one of their members find it and they choose to upvote it could net you $10-100 in upvotes. They have many rules including a cap on how high of post-payout you had in the past to be confirmed “undervalued,” how many have upvoted that post for their curation rewards, and lots of other things.
So not only is sending these services a bad deal they could bring in a much of spam upvotes that make you undesirable by legit curation services out there to want share and help promote your content.

I used to spend a bit on resteem services... At first I thought it was worth... Soon found it was not... It's okay, I think for new users there's some potential but after a while it just becomes a bit useless...
Still, a keen remark to say the least... I too also noticed I wasn't getting a good return on value from any resteem services...
