[Postcrossing] France : Louvre
This is a postcard from France from a roundrobbin. It is the world famous Musée du Louvre!!
Recently there is a Louvre exhibition tour held in Hong Kong. It is about the history and some of the collection of Louvre. Louvre, at the very very begining, a small palace, extended and refurbished and becomes the Louvre today. There are uncountable collection in the museum and they are the collection of the Emperors. Collecting arts and supporting the art field is part of the responsibility of the royal. The art pieces are bought, required, collected, donated, within France, Europe, and overseas.
When by bro and I back home, he searched a video on youtube. A little story behind Mona Lisa.
HAHA!!

The sender is a French lady who is studying Chinese, she wrote by in Chinese :) It is alwasy happy to receive a postcard in my mother language. The content is simple, name of the Louvre, and her recent activities. A few lines written with perfect grammer and nice hand-writing!

About the stamp
Louise Labé (1524-1566)
Literature, Press and Comics (Writers)
Issued date : 2016.5.22
She was a French poet during Renaissance. She claimed the independence of woman, right of education, freedom of speech and love. An enlightened character. I would like to read her love sonnets.
Je vis, je meurs ; je me brûle et me noie ;
J'ai chaud extrême en endurant froidure :
La vie m'est et trop molle et trop dure.
J'ai grands ennuis entremêlés de joie.
Tout à un coup je ris et je larmoie,
Et en plaisir maint grief tourment j'endure ;
Mon bien s'en va, et à jamais il dure ;
Tout en un coup je sèche et je verdoie.
Ainsi Amour inconstamment me mène ;
Et, quand je pense avoir plus de douleur,
Sans y penser je me trouve hors de peine.
Puis, quand je crois ma joie être certaine,
Et être au haut de mon désiré heur,
Il me remet en mon premier malheur.
