Sunday Travel with @SteemPh

Hello Philippines and happy Sunday. Sorry to disappoint but I've been checking for hours and I have not seen one decent travel post to curate and upvote.

So instead, I'd rather share some of the places in Metro Manila that I have experienced traveling to. I hope this will encourage you guys to travel more and share it on Steemit.

It's the capital and probably the busiest place in the Philippines. Just don't get stuck in traffic like everyone does :- )

1. Rizal Park

This is a must visit when you're in the capital. Why? Because is where our national hero Jose Rizal died. There's a monument here dedicated for him.

Aside from Jose Rizal's execution, other significant events happened here during the course of history like the declaration of independence from the United States in 1946.

It's across Roxas Boulevard and Manila Bay and there are several attractions aside here that showcased the Philippine history such as monuments of other national heroes, artworks of national artists and there's even a raised relief map of the Philippines.

2. Mall of Asia

Definitely a top list every Metro Manila traveler should go to. It's one of the biggest malls in Asia owned by SM Super Malls.

Most of the major entertainment, events and concerts happen here. Artists such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber and many more have performed here.

It has one of the best Imax Theater but the beauty in this place is behind the mall itself where you can view the City Bay. It's like a mini amusement park and you can also see the ocean. At night, party goes on as there's plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.

It is located in Bay City, Pasay, Philippines.

3. Star City

Probably the most famous theme park in the Philippines. Star City has been around for almost 30 years and it's still one of the main attraction in Metro Manila, Pasay specifically.

It is an all weather air conditioned theme park where most of the rides are indoors with more than 30 different rides to choose from plus attractions that everyone would enjoy.

A one day visit here is not enough to fully enjoy all the rides if you're brave enough to ride them cause there's tons of people everyday.

Great places. Do you know if there is a hotel connected to the Mall of Asia?

yup, mall of asia is surrounded by hotels and condos for rent so you'll have plenty to choose from, they're mostly condos though.
