Pinoy Henyo: The Come Back

Last night, after several Sundays of silence, the Love Radio channel in the SteemPH discord server once again was bursting in action and laughter and fun.

We once again played Pinoy Henyo. For those who have no idea what this game is, let me give you a brief and unsure history of this fun and addictive brain twisting game. The game originated from a local noon time show in the Philippines. It is a game of charades but with a twist. Two players sit face to face with each other, one will guess the word posted on his or her forehead while the other one will guide the guesser. The guide is only allowed to say three things. Yes, No, or Can be. Or in Tagalog: Oo, Hindi, Pwede. The guesser will have to drill down from major categories like Person, Things, place, animal, or event down to the word itself. Sounds complicated, right? It is. But it is equally as fun. Especially when you are almost at the brink of guessing the word but the time runs out.

SteemPH made a different style for this game since we are all meeting virtually through Discord. In SteemPH, there will be a minimum of 5 players all competing to guess the word first. They will all be guided by the host who also happens to be the game master.

Last night, I took it upon me to host the game. Our theme for the week was Everything 90's which means all the words has relation to everything we did in the 90's. We only had a few participants but man, they are the best of the best! Of course we have the winner by landslide victory @iyanpol12. Then we have @czera who gave our winner a really tough game. @johnpd also joined who literally was begging to get a score but when he got the chance, he literally sweeped a three point streak! @adamada brought the game to the next level with all his highfalutin words, I had a hard time answering yes, no or can be to him.

Two players had to leave early so we end with a head on battle between @iyanpol12 and @czera. I know @czera did her best but @iyanpol12 would not be called King of SteemPH Pinoy Henyo for nothing.

All agreed that it was a good game. And it was indeed! In fact next week we are going to have another round. Maybe someone will take the crown this time.
