TINIKLING (BAMBOO DANCE)

Tinikling is the National Philippine Folk Dance. It is came during Spanish colonial era, the dance imitates the movement of the tikling birds. They walk and dance between grass stems, run over tree branches, or dodge bamboo trap. The dance is compose of two people or more particularly a boy and a girl as partner. You can dance this through beating, tapping, and sliding bamboo poles. It looks like jumping rope and then you can hop between bamboo.

But now a days, one of the favorite of many Filipina ladies and use as one of their talent if they wish to join some beauty contest. They have a lot of revised and re-mix dance through this Tinikling version.
