What does it signify? A pure heart? Contentment?
With just simply having a roof over our heads? Having enough food and water? It's the most celebrated season of the year folks.
Arriving from my holiday in the Philippines last friday, friends have been asking how I am and my families with the recent typhoons. Thank God that our location wasn't affected with only rain showers.
But somewhere in the Philippines, these 2 recent typhoons with barely a week interval have brought havoc and displaced a lot of families before Christmas. The last one still bringing destruction along it's way.
Typhoon relief project
From the first news of flooding due to Urduja typhoon last week, the @steemph Family started to organize some fundraising drive to help our Kababayans in Visayas. But since another typhoon Vinta occurred 2 days ago, this time in Mindanao, news of another flooding started coming in, spear-headed by @adevaesparrago. @bearone having decided to call this project is gathering all of the Family behind the scenes for brainstorming and future plans.
As White Christmas is being celebrated in the US, the above snowy pic is from @ettenin, my cousin in Ohio. Although it's not a white Christmas in London and coming home from our own celebrations with friends just now, I carry my own gifts plus food for work tomorrow. I mean in a few hours time.
Right now, some kababayans don't have this luxury.

Little things work wonders, and all of #SteemPH Family are hoping that these have cheered these families a little bit.
Kudos to @adevaesparrago and her group for spear-heading these efforts to help out.
A dollar goes a long way in the Philippines, so we hope that we can do more with all the help that we can get.

Merry Christmas. It's a sad Christmas for a lot of those in the hit areas. Hopefully, everyone can bounce back soon. Thank you to everyone helping those they could reach. Great way to demonstrate the true spirit of Christmas.
