For years and years..the number of expats in davao have been increasing. Their reasons, its' location, no typhoons and the abundance of fruits/veggies. Am sure its' beaches too.

I know you are lola! Thank you. Lately the traffic is getting worst, but there's just a lot of perks to easily ignore that one issue.
About the typhoons, as long as Mount Apo is protected, Davao will be from the windy storms. I love Durian, just sad that it's a hassle transporting it by plane.
