Are You Self-Made Man?

Reading successful stories from entrepreneurs, athletes or even artist they often mentioned that their success is self- made. How would that be possible?

Let's go back when the "Self-made man" is ever mention . . .

According to Wikipedia it was Benjamin Franklin who has been described as the greatest exemplar of the self-made man. It was Frederick Douglass who first defined and explains on how you can be "Self-Made Men".

The term is referred to a person who arises from a poor or otherwise disadvantaged background to eminence in financial, political or other areas by nurturing qualities, such as perseverance, hard work, and ingenuity, as opposed to achieving these goals through inherited fortune, family connections, or other privileges

Basically you can be quoted as a "Self-made Man" when you have that successful story as such from being less privileged financially to becoming a millionaire.

Going back with my question. . .

Is it possible to be successful by own perseverance, by your own hard work?

My Opinion

BIG YES!

You can be successful as you wanted to be but I never believe with "self-made" success. The success story of Conor Mcgregor, UFC featherweight champ, whose championship is dedicated with her long-time girlfriend Dee Devlin.

“My girlfriend has been there since the start. She has helped me throughout this career. If It wasn’t for her, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today. So definitely, I love to spoil her.”

You don't owe your success with your hard work but with the people who believe in you. Self-made man is, for me, a self-centered quote you can achieve your success without the people who somewhat inspired to do stuff to get nearer with your goal.

For us, Steemians, we appreciate people who upvoted us even if our post doesn't make sense. I appreciate them.

All love in world for you all. :)

I didn't know you were a fan of UFC @grazz?!!

I’m not. I just like Conor because he fight Mayweather. I don’t like Mayweather. And I like his love story with his long time gf @luvabi

The enemy of my enemy is my friend ang peg

very nice piece @grazz i'm re-steeming this :)

I like how you cite Conor as the example. People only see Conor as the bad-ass, ill-mannered bla bla etc etc, but none really knows and understand what he went through and how he got there.

Thank you so much sir @precise

People tend judge other people on act they act or behave they don’t look deeper in one’s identity

You are such a great man. Mabuhay :)

who are you referring to? Conor? Yourself ? Me? Kinda confused
