My Uncle Jesse and Aunt Loty Through the Years
Nowadays, HAPPY COUPLES are rare gem. Today, couples won't really last for months or decades. And I admire those who cannot live without the other. And here is one example of those few couples whom I hold a high regard....
Uncle Jesse and Aunt Loty grow and love each other since they were teenagers. How did I know? My mom told me so... Aunt Loty is the sister of my mom's best friend, Aunt Nene. Uncle Jesse is the son of my mother's Landlord and Landlady. My mother was a teacher then and she lived in Uncle Jesse's residence while she was still single. Uncle Jesse then was just 6 years old and he was my mom's buddy. Mom told me that when dad courted her Uncle Jesse would come to her and hold her by her hand and pulled Mom away from Dad..lol (my parents love story).
With Jesse Dumalag and Loty Dumalag at Gloria Beach Resort, Pantukan, Comval Province
Aunt Loty loves the life in the province and she also loves gardening. She and Uncle Jesse stayed in the United States for a long time with their children and the couple decided to come back to the Philippines to retire. They say: "There's no place like home". Yes, that is true...
Look at their vegetable garden, it's so fertile. That's what I like in the province. You can plant in the backyard. Enjoy the fresh air and you really love to see your garden of vegetables bearing fruits. You can harvest them anytime when you need for cooking. Fresh pick from the garden!
They love the place so much where both of them were born. They live near the beautiful beach where they love to go every afternoon with their dogs for a walk or just talking and watching the sun sets in the horizon.
They are enjoying each other's company each day. At times they would go to the Mall to window shop or to buy some stuff for themselves. Aunt Loty loves to eat (you can see her body built) and they would go to a restaurant to eat... I admire and love this couple so much they publicly shows their affection toward each other just the way they use to be when they were a young couple. You can seldom see couples holding their hands in public unless they are newly wed or just a few years of togetherness. Aside from my parents, they are one of the few who really keep their vows before God. I know they are not perfect but they never leave each other even when a storm came to their lives.
