PARROT -COLOR PENCIL DRAWING

Good day everyone! I'm here again to share my newest drawing. I hope all of you are doing great today. :) I try to make something new for me this is my first time on drawing a bird using color pencil. My subject today is a PARROT, kind of bird that have morethan 300 species it can be found in some tropical and subtropical country. It looks beautiful because of their colorfull feathers and thats why i'm trying so hard to acheive the color tone that i'm looking for.

As i always did on my previous drawings i always draw a faded outline of my subject to have a basic foundation on layering the color. I draw it lightly to errased it easily i always used a soft pencil on it.

And then, I started to fill it with color as we saw in the parrot. I gradually put a light brown color for base color then red as primary color of the head.

Next, i lay a yellow color at the neck as base color and orange one for the top coat as we see in the picture below.

For the body and feathers, i started it on filling the base color using green i put it very lightly. After filling the base color i started o layering the main color of the feather using dark green and black for the shadows i did it alternately until i get the right color tome that i'm looking for.

And for the body, i used the same process as we did in the feather until we meet the right blendding of the color. It takes me more time on doing this part because it is quite haed to attain the right color tone.

Finally! We came out to the last part of the drawing. The feet, i did it using light brown and for the twig i used black, brown and orange color.

You are completely done on your drawing after you sign it hehehehe. :) don't forget your signature.
