Sawang Residents Find Human Framework Near Former TNI Post

ACEHTREND.CO, Sawang - Villagers Gampong Babah Krueng, Sawang Sub-district, North Aceh was shocked by the discovery of human skeleton in the well, Wednesday (28/2/2018). When the conflict hit Aceh, the well was in a TNI post milieu built since the implementation of the Military Emergency in Aceh in 2003.

Information obtained aceHTrend, discovery of human skeletons suspected victims of conflict was first discovered by Sofyan, local residents.

"The info I get on the field, the human skeleton was found on Selasadi a well," said Tarmizi Usman alias Panyang, a member of DPRA from Sawang to aceHTrend.

Tarmizi recounts, originally Sofyan wanted to draw water in an old well in his field. Suddenly he saw a clothing popping into the water. Curious, Sofyan went straight to the well to check. Sophyan then found again some bones at the bottom of the well. When looking at human bones, he immediately reported to the local residents.

"But the excavation was done this morning by involving residents," said Tarmizi.

The same thing also expressed Asnawi Ibrahim, a resident of Jurong village, Sawang district, North Aceh. According to him, when found, the condition of the bones is not intact that is the bone waist, thighbone and calf bone.

"The condition is not perfect because we found only half the body, from the waist down. The weight of his alleged body was deliberately thrown apart when executed, "said Asnawi.

Information collected by local residents, the well was once located behind one of the TNI posts built there. The post itself was built when the Central Government implemented the status of Aceh Military Emergency in 2003.

"We do not yet know whether it is the framework of victims of the massacre by the TNI, or not. But certainly, the well was not accessed by citizens, when the TNI established a post there, "explained a resident.
