My first steemmonsters tournament - sponsored by @goldmatters /mene
Well yesterday was my first experience of a steemmonsters tournament and as expected I was beaten. I don't just mean beaten I mean BEATEN!!! It was a massacre.
I had a bye in the first round, so at least I can say I made it further than some. Hahaha
I was matched up against @rentmoney and (s)he definitely knew how to play. It didn't take long before I was dispatched

Well today I continued to play as normal and I made it back to silver 2. I think that's very good for soneone with only level 1 cards.
I just completed my daily quest and picked up 3 more cards I can't use.

At this rate it might be a while before I can pick up any mene. So far I've only managed to pick up 1 referral. The $75 shipping is the killer and just doesn't make the gold worth buying, it's too high above spot. Plus then I have to pay import tax and duty on top, so a $100 item becomes $200+ instantly.
Watch this space, I'll keep plugging away and if I can get a few hundred $$ in referrals I'll definitely be letting you know.
