SteemMonsters team selection interface revealed!
One of the lead developers of #SteemMonsters, @aggroed, just dropped some preview images of the Team selection interface for the upcoming Battles, in the SM Discord! These images look awesome, and I'm looking forward to getting into the gameplay.
And, @aggroed told me in the chat that the Team size limit has been increased. Originally, what I had heard was that the Teams would consist of a maximum of FIVE 
Monsters, plus the 
Summoner, and be reduced from there depending on the amount of 
Mana available for the specific battle or tournament. However, if you see in the images above, there are slots for up to NINE Monsters, plus the Summoner now, increasing our options even further. Time for me to rewrite my Team calculation spreadsheet, haha!
Wow that reminds me of old-school days playing fighter games and character selections screen. Me likey also I wouldn't be so sure multiple smaller creatures would be the best thing my guess is the increase might be in anticipation of weapons and items adding in the mix
I know, right! Gonna be fun naming all my Teams, too. I guess our guild, the #ContestKings 🦁 will collectively come up with some suggested names for Teams, which will be fun. That's a great idea for a new contest, in fact! (...goes off to create that post...)
This is very cool, glad you found it and posted it... I agree, it is very exciting... love the info about going to up to 9 players too :D
Yeah, I get the feeling that the extra slots may also account for the future implementation of the Items, although I'm not sure if they will slot in here or be attached directly to the
Monsters themselves. Watch this space! 👀

Thanks for that, @randumb, I'm happy to help. This really is all very exciting. Things are progressing quickly with #SteemMonsters development. And they really look great, eh? Here's a view of another team being put together, just for you.
I like how they've done the
Mana assigning, in the top middle of the screenshot there. You can see in this screenshot that the currently selected team is at 20 out of 20 at present, where in the other screenshot above, the 
Dark Eternals one, that it is only 17 out of 20 at that point, with four 
Monsters selected for the Team.
Thank you. I wonder how many card combos will be able to fill the active roster. We'll definitely need the 3rd wave of cards to do that & I think those cards will be more valuable than the Betas.

This may actually make small mana cards much more interesting than they initially seemed. An intelligently built team, with good abiltiy synergy may be able to swarm a 3-card all-star team.
Regardless, this info just opens the strategizing of this game to a much wider degree.
