Awakening

The seas tossed the boat around like it was a toy. The Pirate Captain was a master of sailing but he knew that this storm might be the last thing he would get to see. To think he had be called out on the seas by that voice that he couldn’t forget. Alric had told him to sail right away that he would be a key in the fight to come. He was sure why but he couldn’t disobey that order and found himself out in this storm. Yet fear could not overtake him he was ready for what was to come.

The King of the Crustaceans was there with the shark and Medusa. Why had Alric sent them to this area of the see. The storm above made them feel as if trouble was coming. He was called stormbringer afterall. Medusa told them a lone ship was above in the waters and soon it would be near the rocks they were told to wait by. The waited and she watched with her keen eyes as wave dropped the boat onto the rocks they shuck with the force of the blow and below them in the base a cave appeared. They approached it with caution.

His eyes started to open something was different. He could feel the water moving more than before. He wondered just how long he had been sleeping. Someone was coming he prepared for anything with his tail ready to strike out and his thorns ready they would be no match. Then he heard it “You will join us now the time has come to extinguish the darkness from the land” He claimed that voice was something he had head long ago when went to sleep. So they are in need of me again. Alric will I never be free of serving your call? With that he headed towards the sounds he heard ready to meet the others.

“A Turtle” said Medusa

I am not just any turtle. I am the might Spineback and we have another to go and get. Clearly you are all not listening well.

The follow him to the surface and as they go closer Medusa started to understand. The size of this Turtle was not normal. He would be a key ally in battle someone to hide behind. She now understood why they had been sent to greet him.

The Captain was floating holding onto a piece of his ship wondering if he was wrong. He had been so sure that something grand would happen tonight. But his strength was starting to fade and he was not sure what would be next. When suddenly he felt something solid at his feet and heard someone speak.

“Watch out for the spikes” came the voice

Next thing he knew the Captain was sitting on the bad of a giant turtle and surrounded by all sorts of creatures. The Turtle seemed to know what was going on.

“I see that Alric has started to gather us. But many are missing. No doubt he will want us to head to the land of the Naga next. There we can get our friend here a boat”
No one argued with him. As the group stated to set out Alric appeared.

“My friend I am glad you are awake again. I was hoping I could just let you rest but the world needs us again. And this time the blight is much worse and we are not united like before. Factions are splintered and fighting each other. I will need your wisdom and power again.” said Alric

“This should be the last time for me. I have already saved this world more times that it deserves. But I will listen to your call as I have no choice in the matter. I will once again be the shield to your army. Let us go and find the others. Have you woken the Giant yet? Said Spineback

“Ha like I would do that without you with me” Alric
