I thought starter packs came in as 15 cards/pack? That was what I received when I bought my first pack about two days ago. Was this a recent change?
I'm not sure how the gameplay will look like, but I'm afraid this will become a pay 2 win game, because the people who spend a ton of money will always beat someone who hasn't put a lot of money into the game. I see people spending hundreds of dollars on this game and they get the best cards. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of chance to win against these people if you don't have the cards to battle them. Since there's money to be made in this game, it will still be popular, but only those who can put in hundreds or even thousands of dollars will share the the rewards by winning everything. Unless, there's some special tournaments where only low level card holders are allowed to play and the rewards are decent.
Like I've said, I don't know anything about the gameplay aspect, but I'm just sharing my honest view and opinion from what I see so far.
That's certainly a concern, and is on the developers' radar. I understand there will be a range of competitions, to suit all experience and investment levels.

Hey @steemmonsters, @aggroed, and everybody! Here's a question I have had for a while and a suggestion I just thought off!
My question is; since there is such a big difference in strength of players' decks, how will matchmaking be done? How will skill in the game relate to deck strength in predicting match results?
Now, unrelated from this, wouldn't it be cool if all cards released during the Alpha phase get some extra marker when the game goes live. Something like an 'Ancient' or 'Genesis' status! This would be another great way to reward early investors as there can never be generated more cards of this exact type.
Say you had one of the 2 Genesis Gold Selenia Sky cards that would ever be created. This card might make headlines, or not @thomasgutierrez? :p
Also, to underline the intrinsic value of the cards you could install a small but guaranteed Steem payout whenever a gold or legendary card is active in a tournament.
Damn.. If anyone wants to send me extra cards they got after they maxed them out already that'd be great lmao
