It is expensive, but it has flying at level one. I think it will do OK in higher mana games maybe? It might be a game changer for some?
It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Silencing magic at higher levels will be interesting too.

No, but in all seriousness it's kindof interesting to see how some splinters counter each other and play at higher levels.
It will do OK in higher mana Games of course, you just gotta commit to the fact that you WANT this card to suck all of the magic damage it can. And even if your enemy uses only melee cards, with flying and that rather big quantity of HP, it can still hold it's own against many other cards.
I normally stick my magic users towards the back end, so if they get sniping in, they can do some hefty damage. But often their health is pitiful.
8 health here can be a real decider.
Maybe no good in the 16 mana games, but when you have 26 mana to play with, why not?
