Introduction to card : GIANT ROC - P2

This article is in the continuation of my previous post in which the card GOBLIN SHAMAN was discussed.
The next card we are discussing today is Giant Roc. We will check the abilities and usability of this card.

Card Name: Giant Roc

Splinter Category: Fire

Rarity: Common

Mana Cost: 5

Abilities: Flying,Reach and Trample after level 6.

Attack type: Melee.

When to use: This card has reach ability, so it can be put in second position too to boost your attack on the enemy first card in line up. Since it is fire splinter having melee attack so it get boost of +1 attack from summoner Malric Inferno,Plado Emberstorm and Daria dragonscale. In lower leagues /low level card +1 attack matter as it just double the attack value from 1 to 2.

When not to use: It can be dropped from lineup when the battle rules set says "Back to Basic" and monster loses all the abilities. Putting it in first position also not advisable as it do not have very high health.

How to counter the card: I do not think you need to worry about this specific card. Since it is part of fire splinter and use melee attack, using Death splinter to counter it can be a choice.
