#HF20 FALLOUT - RC costs for SteemMonsters
HF20 UPDATE
HF20 hit our little business hard as it did the whole @steemmonsters community... things came to more or less a stand still.
the @peakmonsters account was set to almost Zero RC after HF20
Prior to the fork we were doing hundreds if not thousands of transactions a day.
Now we're anxiously waiting for transaction prices to make up their mind.
Soon after the HF20 we turned on the market for a few hours and did a few transactions and the astronomical prices of transactions sucked our minimal RC dry so we turned it right back off.
STARTING UP AGAIN TOMORROW
The market has been off for a couple days and we're set to open it up tomorrow morning as our RC has been growing.

First paragraph says they are gonna 10x the ammount of transactions we should be able to do. Not sure if that means reducing the RC costs by 10x or upping our Mana by that ammount. But this is good news.
It also fixes a couple of other bugs that were effecting our market such as the inability for delegation to help RC problems.
WHAT DOES IT COST
It appears the transaction costs on both @steemmonsters and https://peakmonsters.com are the same.
I did some testing and I'm putting some raw data here.
These prices will vary wildly and hopefully settle down to a price way below this eventually. Because at this rate a new user could buy 1 pack and then have to wait about 5 days to buy another.
Shorten by 9 digits
A note on the number. There's no way that I'm using all the those digits.
I cut off the last 9 because to use the last 9 is just silliness right now.
I'm personally (@jarvie) leading the charge to make that the standard.
- Combine 5 cards = 0.8rc
- gift 5 cards = 0.87rc
- List 1 card = 0.8rc
- Sell 1 card = ZERO
- BUY 1 card = 4.07rc
- Buy 1 pack = 3rc
PEAKMONSTERS
- List 1 card = 0.77rc
- List 5 cards 1.96RC
- List 25 cards 7.8RC
- Gift 1 Card = 0.63
- Gift 5 cards = 0.87rc
- Gift 25 Cards 2.1RC
- Buy 1 pack = 3rc
Tomorrow @peakmonsters will be up and running again and we'll see what the cost for buying is.
Buying on SteemMonsters is 4RC which is crazy high. Hopefully we can have you buying 30 at a time for that price or lower.
I did all these tests on @monsterworld that doesn't have a ton of SP which often skews the tests because your RC is regenerating pretty fast on a big account.

We at least need a 10X, ... I am having difficulty even posting a few comments here and there, basically writing blogs of text to compensate since I know they will take forever to recharge.
(In a strange way its forced my quality up at the expense of utility) However this is bad for communities that engage by utilizing the blockchain, example @steemitboard and steemmonsters.

It should also be noted that opening packs costs 0RC
Just thought i'd throw that out there.
Also we will keep you updated on the costs of BULK BUY tomorrow when we enable it again.
Let's hope the HF20.4 patch comes into play before then.

Thank you for the update. Peakmonsters being down was to me the most frustrating experience of the hardfork. Seing great prices on the market and being able to get them sucks. So I have been single handedly buying cards via Steem Monsters. And that was not just expensive in RCs but also super slow due to only one card at a time.
This has been also one of the areas that has concerned me for the change as many users have just recently joined Steem because of the game and are being throttled for bandwidth. I think they have realized adjustments are needed and continue to search for the right balance which demonstrates the correct direction to take.
