Analysis of the second pvp battle. Steem Monsters in action.

in #steemmonsters6 years ago (edited)

Welcome dear steemians, today I'm going to make a little analysis of the last battle that @yabapmatt and @aggroed showed us. You can view their original article in this link.

First of all I have to say that it surprised me a little to see the result of the match, as you can see both teams were composed by four creatures. These were the teams:

  • Yabapmatt had on his team these creatures with the following formation:

Back
Feral Spirit - Divine healer - Peacebringer

Front
Defender of truth

  • Aggroed had the following creatures:

Back
Sabre shark - Crustacean king - Frozen Soldier

Front
Spineback turtle

In the white team we have two common cards, one rare and an epic card, while in the blue team we have three commons and only a rare card.

The first turn started with the Ferals spirit attack because it's the faster creature on the board, we can see that also has the ability of sneak, this ability allows to the creature to attack any creature in the board and not only the front.

This is the board after the first turn, as we can see the Spineback turtle was damaged but still alive, also the Sabre shark had some damage from the feral spirit, in the white team the Defender of Truth and the Peacebringer received all the damage while the Divine Healer and the Crustacean king healed their teams.

This is how was the board after the second turn :

As we can see the Spineback turtle died due to all the attacks of the white team, and just after beggining of the turn they managed to kill the Sabre shark, giving a considerable advantage to the white team but the surprise began with the movement of the Frozen soldier to the front.

The Frozen soldier managed due his ability of reflect to kill all the white team only with the support of the Crustacean king!. This comeback was totally unexpected to me and we can take some important conclusions of it.

First of all the rarity of the cards isn't a guarantee of victory, yes they might be more powerful in some aspects but they have to be in their correct position. I think that Yabapmatts mistake was that he hadn't any tank, otherwise that comeback would be much harder to obtain. Also we can see the relevance of the healers in the game, I think that these cards could be crucial for the game, and to finish it has impressed me the Frozen's soldier perform, his ability and resistance is remarkable and I can say without fear that it's probably a underrated card in economic terms, it's for sure a great buy for anyone who is thinking in building a blue deck.

That's all fellow steemians I hope you liked this analysis. Greetings to all.

That was interesting, thanks for that. Analysing the #SteemMonsters battles, commentating on the tournaments, and scholarly discussion about the best strategies is a whole new field on Steem, and it looks like you are going to be one of the first to corner this market, haha. I look forward to seeing how it develops!

Thank you for your kindness, I try to follow all the news that are coming and explaining the game the best I can, if you want more analysis of this kind I think that @onefatinidian also has great info to offer, plus he is at maverick's corner which gives him some advantage from me :). Cheers.
