Yeah, I've never really looked at the pure numbers, but that's a lot of cards.
Obviously, stopping at level 9 commons saves you about 4800 cards just in commons, so I guess there is that. :-D
Most commons I've looked at only get one extra life between 9 and 10; so it's hardly groundbreaking.
