that's a difference of about 39k less cards since last count.

What this shows is that already half of the alpha cards have been condensed down into higher level cards, which has drastically reduced supply. We're down around 50%!!!
I have 1090 unopened alpha packs.

Lol that's a lot... I would love to see a video when you finally open them.
How is this not known? Isn't there full Steem Monster blockchains going on. I thought people already knew what was in their booster packs before even opening because that information is displayed on the blockchain as soon as the cards are bought, no?
the issue is there is no reliably quick way to find out the total unopened packs still in existence that i have been able to find. let alone a quick way of adding them all up(w/o maybe a bot counting every opened pack)
i spend anywhere from 20-30 minutes every time i roll out one of these posts and ive been doing it now for slightly over a month and ive consistently gotten on average less than a dollar for doing so.
i started tracking these figures because i realized the importance of them to the community historyand i was curious on my own of how fast people were combining these things.
im hoping in the near future to continue these posts with beta cards as soon as total unbought beta packs are made available publicly to track as well.
i never claimed it was 100% accurate what im doing but im doing the best i can reasonably do w/o a lot of work for most likely minimal changes to what i am presenting.
the core of these posts are creating a consistently tracked archive of the card combining done by all in steemmonsters and i have attempted to do so w/o expecting much in return.
Your reply is confusing me a little lol, I was just saying how you typed the amount was "unknown" and I read that as a matter of fact but the way I'm taking it is that it is just an unknown amount to you is all, not that the amount is completely unknown or not a findable thing. Kudos to all the work you have been doing! This is my first time reading one of these posts, no doubt the good info you provide will pay out, especially if you'd be doing it even if you weren't getting paid out like would be happening if you were just sharing theses posts on Facebook or Reddit or Medium or etc.
Edit: Do @aggroed or @yabapmatt have the total numbers of unopened packs? For both Alpha and Beta.
