Screaming Banshee- The legend of Elena

Hello folks, good evening to all of @steemmonsters. I am writing this text to participate in the fantasy story contest.

I'll write the story of "Screaming Banshee". I chose it because it was the first card I ever won. Before I even opened the starter pack, I won gift cards and it was the first I won when opening.

Before I start, I want to thank dear Elena(@behelen), really a fairy. I know she will never turn into Screaming Banshe !!!

Screaming Banshee --- The Legend of Elena

The Lich King, Zintar Mortalis, chief of the armies of the living dead, daily tried to invade the forest to get the white crystals that were in the center. These crystals would increase the power of him army, giving total supremacy over the other races of the kingdom.

This forest was protected by its protective fairies. They were all sisters to each other, but their command was Lyanna.

Lyanna, the oldest, wisest, most powerful, was the only one who faced Zintar, King Lich, face to face and managed to get out alive. By this time they had fought, their sister Elena and the other sisters had not yet been born. Lyanna is reminiscent of the ancient order of the forest fairies.

For a very sad reason, which Lyanna never commented on, all her old sisters went in the confrontation face to face with Zintar, leaving only her.

Every day Lyanna always talked to her sisters and passed on her knowledge of King Lich and his army. She always repeated the same phrase at the end of her conversations: NEVER COME NEAR ZINTAR. NEVER.

The sisters welcomed her speech and respected her, for she was the wisest of them.

Elena, the newest and inexperienced of fairies and her other sisters fought bravely against the armies and were always able to repel them, mainly because their power was increased by the crystals.

In one of these struggles, the King Lich began to perceive Elena's personality traits. While all her sisters were withdrawing from the battle when it ended and they were not talking to the King Lich, Elena always expressed words of arrogance, hatred and other provocations. Zintar noticed Elena's high ego and devised a plan to enter the forest.

Zintar, as was his custom, put his army to attack and try to enter the white forest. This time he did not raise his staff, nor cast spells in battle, he simply let his army die without helping them.

This was the easiest victory the forest protectors had over the Lich King's army. This made Elena's ego grow, and she began to think that they were quite easy to fight Zintar's army.

As they returned to their village in the middle of the forest, Elena never tired of repeating how powerful she felt to have easily defeated Zintar's army. She proposed that in their next attack, they would face him face to face to end this war.

Realizing that Elena accomplished what he wanted, Zintar stood still while Elena came furiously attacking him. Her sisters were far away, following Lyanna's order never to confront him face-to-face.

When Elena got close, she started a fight practically with only one attacking. She used all her magic, while the King Lich only received the blows. It seemed that the victory was imminent, for with every blow received, Zintar was weaker and fearful of further blows.

This made Elena feel the victory very close and used all her strength in the next attack. For this, she would have to get very close to him. And that's what she did.

When she arrived to take her final blow on the dying Zintar, he took her by the arm and held it for a few seconds. He laughed and turned into a cloud, leaving the battle and leaving his army without a commander.

Everlasting victory, Elena cried in a high voice. A few more minutes past and the army of the living dead had been completely swept from the forest.

Elena's sisters were all very worried about looking. Elena ran after them, telling the news, thinking she had killed the Lich King.

As she counted, Lyanna ran to her and asked her to show her arm. When she did, she saw the mark Zintar had left on her. At the same time that she was very angry with Elena, Lyanna regretted what had happened because, as the most experienced and in command of them, she could never have let that happen again. She knew what would happen from then on.

They went back to the village and while they were all talking Lyanna was silent. Arriving there, she went to her quarters by herself and did not speak to anyone.

The next day, she woke up and went to check on Elena. When he met her, he saw her with pain and fever and spoke some incomprehensible words. His sisters were worried about what had happened. Only Lyanna knew what was happening.

As the days passed, her sisters sought all sorts of help, study, incantations, medicinal plants from the forest to try to heal Elena's pain, which never passed. In addition to the pain, his appearance worsened every hour.

Lyana gathered her sisters away from Elena and said she could do nothing. She had already seen this story and now there was only praying for her soul, to go to a good place. Elena was becoming a Banshee, a sort of general commander of the Lich King's army, Zintar. She would become a living dead in a few hours. So that she would not be attacked by forest beasts when she became a Banshee, Lyanna suggested they take Elena out of the forest's borders.

The sisters, after praying for their souls, did this and all together left her after the forest. Elena was on fire, but she realized that she was no longer in the forest and that her sisters had left her in that unknown place.

Lyanna burst into tears, along with her sisters. But nothing could be done.

When Elena realized that she had been abandoned outside her domain to die alone, she gave a huge cry that was heard throughout the continent, in and out of the forest.

After this cry, Elena's vital signs ceased and she passed away. However, after a few seconds, a strange smoke began to leave his body, transforming into a new form of "life" or, rather, "death."

Elena had become the Screaming Banshee, the leader of Zintar's army, King Lich.

Elena swore vengeance against her sisters, for, not realizing that the error of approach was hers, her soul poisoned and became full of hatred.

In her words to meet the King Lich, Elena already planned what would be the attack that would destroy the forest and all her sisters, especially Lyanna, who vowed to kill first.
