Bal'Athep - The Lord of Darkness // A Steem Monsters Post Story

The tortured screams of the damned echoed through the halls of the keep, but she did not need to hear his approach. The jester twisted her head towards the door, she could feel the presence of her master. With a crash the door swung open and body of a broken lesser demon was thrown through the opening. Behind the crumpled body, an enormous winged shadow filled the door frame.

“Th’Eth, fetch Kalmet.” The voice growled.

She pulled the whip from the wall and placed it in his hand. She had been on the receiving end of the mighty weapon many times. Just holding the weapon made her shudder, it screamed for fresh kills. Even holding it for a few seconds she could feel her mind slipping away.

Only one could wield it.

Bal’Athep, the Lord of Darkness stepped fully in to the light. He was as magnificent as he was terrifying.

Just as Bal’Athep was about to crack the whip, a messenger spirit interrupted his swing.

“Lord, the Paladins are attacking the south gate again.”

“Ohhhhh, are they. They will regret coming here.” He said in a low growl.

“They will pay with their souls.”

Since @aggroed and @yabapmatt released the first look at http://www.steemmonsters.com I've been pretty excited. As a long term D&D and MTG player, this is a welcome addition to the blockchain. Since I'm used to writing post stories for my own pictures, I thought I'd take a stab at writing one for the sole legendary card I've managed to acquire so far. I can't wait to see where the game goes, and how it grows. More importantly I look forward to challenging you all in the tournaments! Start collecting those cards.
