I see SM becoming the cryptokitties of the steem blockchain when the crypto rush is finally back, I need to learn how to go about the game and get started.
I think it will be an even better game, and not delays or bottlenecks like ETH has. It is definitely worth learning. Good time now, before battles begin later this month.
The next time you get a steem payout you may be able to get some. You can try and see if you can just to go market and start buying them. Some are only .03 in STEEM or SBD.
It may be though that it will force you to start with a $2 booster pack. I automatically did that, so I'm not sure.

(Also, if you can get yourself started somehow, then I can send you some of the cards from elements I know I'm not going to be using, like Fire.)

This projects continues to gain Steem as more is developed and cards become more exciting to collect. Looking to get some more soon to complete my set so I can have some options and variety in my teams when battling starts.
I've already started creating my various lineups for different elements. I don't think I'm going to play Fire or Death though. I'm also still trying to figure out a winning strategy for the Life one.

I have been hearing about steemmonster card and I did not know what they were truly about, but I think you broke it down for me in this post. Might buy if I have the steem, I love trying new things and the cards seem relatively cheap.
They're super cheap right now, but as people start playing they will get much more expensive. We really are in at the ground floor, as it's just a few months old now and beta was just released this week.
I am also ignoring all post about this topic but when you share about this I think why not take a look on this project. Really a great project is this I gonna play this game. Thanks for sharing your thoughts @indigoocean
I try not to give myself anymore online past-times. But this game is actually super fun and it's a great cross-section of the steemit community. I'm meeting some amazing people already.
One thing to note, I'm pretty sure the @steemmonsters team will be starting off with $1,000.00 weekly tournaments. I don't think I've ever heard $10,000.00 being discussed, however, since anyone can create their own tournament, that's a possibility.
If I recall correcntly, in the Steem Monsters Discord channel, @aggroed was contacted by someone inquiring about creating a $10,000.00 game tournament.
It's $10,000 in weekly tournament prizes, so ten $1,000 tournaments. I just read it on one of the SM posts yesterday. They are earmarking 1/3 of the funds raised for the awards, so if they sell all the packs, that means that will be the weekly kitty for a year.
