RE: Steem Monsters – The Toughest Season Yet
Is this the repeating occurrence; don’t bother until a few days before the end of season? I’m wondering if this happens every season
I would say yes. I had a much easier time today too and last season I didn't make it to the higher leagues until the last couple of days.
Every season I tell myself I won't play for the first 5 days while the heavy hitters move themselves up but somehow, I can't quite seem to stop myself and it's frustrating as hell.
I actually met you on the battlefield today @slobberchops, playing my level 3 summoner account and was about to surrender, because yours was level 4, when I noticed it was you. So I decided to play so you could get a win and ended up beating you! 😂
Woo hoo! 😁
OK interesting, the later you leave it the easier it is.
You did... love it when its someone I know.. I met a few yesterday, @coolguy123 and @revisesociology, but both fleed! Maybe they were multi-tasking.. and making their beans on toast or something...
A good win and deserved.. I was doing my DQ at the time.
I would say so, in general. But then the last day it can get tricky again as everyone jumps in to try and level up at the last minute.
Last season there was one day when it suddenly got really easy for my Level 3 team and I was able to take it to Diamond III. I couldn't compete once there and had to drop back into gold to complete DQs but it meant I got some nice extra cards. I've learned to take the opportunities as soon as I see them. 😁
I would normally flee a level 4 team too but, since it was you, I thought I'd give you the chance to get a win towards your DQ. It was unusual that it didn't work out that way. 😂
I see now how you can see what level they are by the last battles, but how do you determine the level of their summoner?
By adding (1) to their average common monster level?
If you run your mouse over the team it shows the level of all the monsters including the summoner. So, sometimes you can see they are playing with level 1 teams but their white team is a level 3, for example.
The summoner is the most important level in my opinion. If I've got white for my DQ and my opponent has played a white team with level 3 summoners and mine is a level 2 it is highly unlikely I will beat it.
Yes sorry about that! I didn't even notice I was up against you until I ran out of time making my selections. Changed my mind at the last minute, deselected eveything then the clock ran out!
Happy to give you a win! I was going to play the water splinter which I don't normally use hence why I messed up!
It is good to see people you know. I beat @mountainjewel yesterday, which was satisfying!
Odd to think of them playing SM on their idyllic homestead!

LOL, I was expecting a severe beating from you, with all them cards o' yours!
I just read yr post - I took my life splinter up to L6 and with that it's been quite easy to climb. Anything else which are all l4/5 not the case.
I find it also depends on whose online! Just taking a 30 min break can make a hell of a difference!
