TRYING to give away Steem Monsters cards. WTF is this shit?
Last night I could have sworn that I still had another day for my giveaway, but I was also really fuckin tired when I checked. Oh well. I can give them away now, just a bit late.
And then today there's something wrong with the Steem comment picker...
So we'll use Python to pick a random number.
$ python
Python 3.5.3 (default, Sep 2 2018, 05:33:38)
[GCC 5.4.0] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import random
>>> print (random.randint(1,6))
5
Congratulations @petertag.
What is this? Red X? Why won't it let me give him a card?
First, for my Silvershield Warrior giveaway. You can find the card giveaway post here.
Apparently the Steem comment picker won't work at all today...
So we'll use Python...
>>> print (random.randint(1,7))
7
Guess @jznsamuel is lucky that I forgot to upvote his comment. Rather than a few cents, he gets a Steem Monsters card!
And then I get this red X.
Can anyone help me with this? What's the problem? Why can't I send him a card?
I'll try to figure this out and get this card to you as soon as possible. Someone please help. Is there an issue with the blockchain right now?
Edit: Trying to send the Peacebringer to @petertag via PeakMonsters fails as well.
Edit2:
I figured it out!
Turns out that it was Privacy Badger, blocking the Steem API. I love that plugin...but sometimes...I swear... Thank you @crystalhuman for your help trying to figure out the issue and @ToddMck for suggesting to look at the console on Firefox, which allowed me to figure out the issue before I ripped out too much hair.
@petertag and @jznsamuel you should now have your cards!
So apparently it's just me...hmm... Gonna go try to ask someone on the discord.
Thank you for being here for me, so I can be here for you.
Enjoy your day and stay creative!
Botty loves you. <3
Did you copy his username? If so, make sure you didn't accidentally copy a space on the end or beginning.
Yeah, I copied both usernames. I made sure there was no space. Though, really, the code should have a regex to deal with a space or an @ symbol at the beginning.
Yeah it would be helpful, Yaba is working his ass off though trying to make everything perfect. :)
If you have any issues, please come contact someone on Discord Feel free to DM me anytime.
Mystery solved! Thank you for your generosity to petertag and jznsamuel. Hope I can be next!
