Arianthus is the superior tank to the Giant. It cuts all incoming damage by half, so it has twice the effective health putting it on par with the Giant. Plus it has thorn damage that will get you some outgoing damage.

Thanks for the great description of the card and how we can use them. To bad I am only in the Bronze league, meaning that I will get only 1 card per completed daily quest. This means that most rewards cards will become unusable for me.
People in the Silver league and for sure gold or higher league, can start powering up their reward cards after one daily quest.
I do regret the changes they made to the reward system for the daily quest. After 10 days a Silver league player would have 50 reward cards, while I would only have 10. This does increase the GAP between the league and makes it almost impossible to promote to a next league without investing lots of money into SteemMonsters.

I am not sure how that limits your ability to rise in the leagues. The extra cards will come in handy for all players but not make a difference in the total of the game. Maybe the gap between Bronze and Silver is indeed pretty steep. But I don't think it will effect the game negatively.
