The importance of using monster with thorns is becoming increasingly apparent. Particularly paired with healing, such a combination is very potent.

This need for thorns is only accentuated by the recent addition of the reward cards. With double strike now in the ability mix, thorns is a pretty effective measure to soften up some of the most offensive monsters.

And of course there is always the Exploding Dwarf, a rather intimidating and looming threat. Although few have him leveled up yet, when his use becomes more prevalent stopping him on the first hit sounds to be of the utmost importance before he shreds your team to pieces.
