Steem Monsters Journal: Plado Emberstorm Ain't That Bad

The market seems to keep discounting Plado Emberstorm as if hes plagued with a lack of game value. His relative trade value to the rest of the new beta legendaries summoners consistently comes in roughly 25% lower than his peers.

What gives?

Maybe sometimes its difficult to recognize the value of how well he pairs with the existing cards - particularly with the Goblin Shaman.

The fire splinter is abnormally paired with some real sturdy, hard-hitting monsters that already get a beneficial boost to melee. Not only does Plado reinforce their strength with more speed and the expected melee boost, but most importantly it had a negative health ability to the opponent.

With the Goblin Shamans ability to reduce melee monster health, this practically front tank dominance in most matchups. The ability to tip the scales with increased speed only further drives home the red assault.

Plado is better than the market would suffice when used correctly.
