White (Life) Splinter Mania Begins to Hit the Test Platform

in #steemmonsters6 years ago (edited)

Through outsider observation it's become a revelation that the insiders have finally come to grips to potential power of the Life Splinter within some more commonly used combinations that continue to be highly duplicated in the last few days by game testers. This has been my favorite splinter since the outset (although I do like others very much as well nearly as much as the White team) of stats being released as they are more conservative ideally with the buff of +1 armor from all same side monsters from their premier issue summoner Tyrus Paladium.

Creators of the game have stated, again to paraphrase...the game is built with balance of the cards and their given abilities or contributions to a team and can change at any time... So don't get too cemented in on your thinking of what the cards are at stat wise at the moment, as in speed, melee, magic, range, health things like that they are always subject especially early on in the initial closed door testing phase which is reportedly wrapping up quite possibly within the next few weeks to be made available on a larger scale of the game's population of followers.

So back to the initial point, the White element is getting a lot of attention especially a lineup that may go something like this: 1.) Silvershield Paladin [5 manna] 2.) Angel of Light [4 manna] 3.) Divine Healer [3 manna] 4.) Enchanted Pixie [3 manna-Neutral Spl.] 4.) Cocatrice [2 manna-Neutral Spl.] + Tyrus Paladium (3 manna summoner) or Kiara Lightbringer (2 manna Epic summoner. There are other combinations that can be mixed and matched in this sequence and I am certainly not telling anyone exactly how to play it there are infinite different possibilities with White Splinter cards, other Neutral Splinter cards, and the addition of Selenia and the Dragon Splinter introduced to this equation. The main highlight being commonly shown is the buffs that the Angel of Light can bring along with the other support cards stacking positive abilities of the Divine Healer and the Pixie that brings their benefits to the table to this team.

All of this sounds great right? Simple this lineup will win all of the time, right? Not so much. Again the game has built on balance, while it may do really well against some other conventional lineups as the cards are valued as of right now if the message remains consistent there will be off-setting abilities that can get to this very stout lineup. Also, there are alternatives to beating this "castle garrisoning" approach of having high armored monsters with higher levels of healing. That I will leave up to you to decide and develop your own strategy in how to attack this but it really is no different than combating a monster with sneak, a monster with snipe, a monster with blast, or whatever else that could be stacked and used in an extreme position of piling a few buffs. Also, if you look at the market prices of these cards you will also see that they are not cheap, especially on the market. The matches that are being played are also with the cards as they sit at a max level at the moment also, so not every single match is going to consist of these exact stats across the board in all matches. The cost for this lineup to max out in gold could cost a small fortune, as just the Angel of Light could run you an average north of $1,000, to 1,200 on either gold market to get the necessary cards to fully power them up. Multiply the those four digit numbers by eight or eleven that is not a terribly cheap approach at winning. That is an extreme example and over time the cards could be picked up and powered up through buying booster packs or buying them on the markets. So if you see the recent surge in those card prices that not surprisingly is a direct correlation.

You're doing some great work here @cryptkeeper17... I like how you look past the obvious! One day you will be able to test your theories and I think you will be a force that people will have to look out for ;)

Another SM strategy post to add to my reading to-do. :)

this is backwards @beeyou, usually you write the story and I sit there bewildered asking what just happened?

Lol, I'm a teeny bit behind with the game strategies. I have to re-visit Dave's 1st post explaining what those icons mean. Good thing I have great teammates! :)
