It's finally time to review the Skeleton Assassin. Costing only 3-mana, by far this is my favorite sneaker to date. Although already nerfed once in order to reduce his melee attack down to a maximum of 3 from a previous 4, the Skeleton Assassin still remains a formindable monster to wield.

Without a doubt, his strength comes from his ability to poison, which deals 2 damage per turn. As one of the few monsters capable of poisoning in this game thus far, the low mana cost allows him to be an excellent distributor of the debilitating poison on a team already equipped to strike fast. Because of poison's extra damage, the Skeleton Assassin could take out an opposing enemy by himself rather than relying on dual sneakers in order to be effective.

If placed correctly in the middle, the Skeleton Assassin can fairly distribute some poison to the rear, and then face the front defender should your own front defender fall. Here, he can hopefully distribute more poison to the front defender allowing him to optimize the spread of the poison. With 5 speed, he's able to hit most targets and avoid a few of his own should he be pushed into the front defender role. Likewise, with 5 health, he's also unlikely to perish upon the first blow he's dealt. For such a low cost, the Skeleton Assassin remains high on the lists of must haves when it comes to building a Death team.
