Steem Monsters: LoD is a Defensive Champion

The Death splinter is by and large plagued with cheap-o monsters who couldn't hold their own in a fist fight, but the LoD is one of the few monsters that the splinter has in its arsenal to whip out a can of whoop ass in an instant.

While high costing, like most legendaries, the LoD provides a Shield and high health which automatically opens him up as an effective front defender. With Enrage, which is often underrated by most players, the LoD can endure far more than what might initially meet the eye given the ability's capacity to raise speed along with melee damage. Therefore try not to put too much of a discount towards that low speed of 3 at max level.

Where the LoD truly stands out is in its ability to Retaliate & Stun. Stun is effectively one of the most coveted abilities given its use in disabling an opponent. But when combined with Retaliate, this gives the LoD the chance to strike not just one, but multiple opponents with a chance to Stun. This is most notable when he's utilized as a rear guard during the format which allows all melee monsters a chance to have sneak. Arguably, that Super Sneak gameplay format is where the LoD is likely to truly shine.
