Paying It Forward - Thank You everyone!
I am amazed by the hearts of members in the Steem Monsters community (soon to be Splinterlands)!
Earlier today, I made a very idiotic mistake by making an offline purchase deal and lost some BTC. I take full responsibility for my bad judgement. The value isn’t much considering just last week I spent the same amount on safari animal toys for my son (when did kids start learning about wildebeest, topi and wholly mammoth?!) It’s a lesson learned though and one I will be sure to not repeat.
No one wants to be a poster child of a scam, but I mentioned it in the Discord room so others would be aware and not be idiotic fall prey as I did.
The kindness and love of the Steem Monsters community is just …wow….what can I say? Pure ❤❤.
Upon knowing about my loss, @begonethot, @clove71, @raynie, @steamdan and @jacekw sent me some DEC to show their kindness and support. @isaria sent 10 booster packs too!
I am deeply touched when kindness is shown my way. I wish I could send everything back but that would be an insult to their generosity.
SOO, I have decided to pay it forward.
My teammate @mellofello and I own the @chasingunicorns account which we have given out to contest winners in the past for a 1-week free delegation where the winner keeps all the reward cards, STEEM winnings from tourneys, and now, DEC.
The last winner made 23.25 STEEM, earned standard and gold foil reward cards from the DQ, and accrued 6,025 DEC. Definitely a nice way to build his Steem Monsters account (or sell for STEEM).
So I will delegate the @chasingunicorns out for 1 more week to another contest winner BUT will let these awesome individuals help me decide the winner. How about helping me find a contest winner for my team’s @chasingunicorns account @begonethot, @clove71, @raynie, @steamdan, @isaria and @jacekw? It would be awesome if the person is new to the game.
Since we all might not be able to decide on the winner, I will choose @begonethot to make the final winner pick since he was first to show his support. Winner to be announced at the end of post payout.
My second way of paying it forward is giving @steamdan my @beeyou Steem Monsters account to play for one week.
Aside from @isaria who is part of the Steem Monsters team, we all have the opportunity to play in the diamond/champion league. Let’s give @steamdan a chance?
Of course, he will get to keep ALL the reward cards, STEEM winnings, and DEC earned during the one-week period. My account earns around 4,000 – 5,000 DEC a day without completely draining, so I hope he puts it to good use!

How is DEC transferable? Is that through the TRON wallet? I love it when the Steem Community comes together.

I don't know what to say, but I will try!
During the time I've been on the Steem Blockchain, I've had the opportunity of both adapt and learn a lot of things, one of which has been to share a moment, a present time we're all a part of and that isn't monetization of our efforts, but learning how to express ourselves while doing what we want and obtain better results than anything else in real life... and anybody could say wait, but I have family, I have children, I have a job, a purpose in life... what has a blockchain or any platform to do with my happiness and well being? My answer would be one single word: Community.
We all have our differences, interests and things we care about that we don't necessarily share in this place, but we all try hard to build a connection to others. Whether it's a project, a working team or an act of kindness, we all have learned to express ourselves through a post, words and images. We learnt from others and we have been proud when saying hey, this is what I want to do and I wish you care enough to support it or at least share it. We have overcome fears, difficulties and months, if not years of hard work (natural growth) to see a bit or a lot of success, and even if we did it just on our own, we always were part of a community, a fully operational platform. Call it social networking, online work or one of our life projects, you are here today reading me and this is what I want to say to you: You are great and keep making it happen.
I live in Venezuela and although I have had some hard stuff going on I've also managed to stay positive, helping others and trying my best to succeed, so that can be a lesson for anybody, from my family to anyone who communicates or learns about me wanting to make of our interaction an opportunity to help each other out and to find more ways to keep doing it day after day. Having said that I hope, after a full day without internet connection that I can now have the opportunity to show what I'm capable of with a powerful set of Diamond/Champion cards and I would even resign or choose to share my earnings with more people, because all I care about is this: being acknowledged and to have the opportunity, the shot at something I believe and admire as great which is hanging out and playing with the very best. Thank you!
P.S. This is our faces when we learnt we could have a shot at playing against other champions, and open lots of shiny cards! And I don't have my oldest son here with me, who will turn 5 this next wednesday, and wants really bad to learn to play Steem Monsters (I guess I have to explain to him that he can now also call it Splinterlands!)
The beauty of this place is meeting others that share their stories, victories, failures and in the end, pull through as a community. Your positive outlook shines through and I love that I am starting my day reading your wonderful comment @steamdan.
I can never imagine how life is in Venezuela for you. You're faced with hardship yourself, yet, upon hearing my loss, you sent your hard-earned DEC to show your support. I am deeply touched with this kindness and generosity. Thank you so much. It is these acts of kindness that is most meaningful.

I've seen this offer myself before, and I've even thought about it. Gold Selenia at a good price does not happen often. I did not even think that it was an offer from a scammer :O

If I could recommend someone, it will definitely be @byzantinist, who wins Novice and Bronze tournaments, and is unable to fight in the higher leagues due to lack of cards. Who knows, maybe he would soon kick us all butts :D
That is so sweet of you @jacekw! It means a lot because the only time I run into everyone is on the battlefield, so it goes to show that we may battle it out, but in the aftermath, it is the kindness of this community that shines through. Thank you for the DEC!
I had a chance to purchase the gold selenia on the market at a lower price than what I lost, but had decided not to buy back then. I think the sob story plus the fair price, well, just a mistake on my end. Appreciate the kind thoughts.

steamdan battles in a different league than all of us which earns him less DEC, yet he was so generous in sending that DEC my way. I was very touched by his kindness. I hope he will have fun playing with my cards!
