Steem Monsters.
I haven't played a card game like this since probably 5'th grade. I kept hearing about it, and thought it looked like a cool project that could attract new users to Steemit, so, I figured I would give my humble support to the project buy buying a couple of packs and writing a blog.
Buying the cards was easy enough. Another plus is they accept credit cards, Steem, Steem dollars, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Etherium, Bitcoin cash, Monero, and Dash as payment! Also, for a limited time, if you don't already have a Steemit account, you'll get a free account with the purchase of a starter pack! The starter pack is $10, or crypto equivalent
So, naturally, after buying the starter pack, you can go to your collection and see what you got in your pack! Here is what I got. I ended up with a couple rare cards, which is cool.
I also bought one of the Alpha edition Booster Packs. They're only $2, or equivalent in crypto. There are a limited number and, at the time of this post, only 19,585 packs left.
Another neat feature is the market, which is already active, and already has some fairly valuable cards! In the market, you can buy and sell individual cards to build your deck. Common cards are selling for around $0.02, and they range all the way up to some of the "Legendary" cards (below) that are selling for a shocking amount of money!

It looks really fun. Doesn't seem to complicated. I've seen some of the gameplay videos on kickstarter. Looks like you pick your cards and it just kind of plays itself. The strategy is all in picking the right cards. I'm stoked to be able to start playing! If nothing else, I have a good feeling the cards will appreciate in value.
