Sometimes the pupil becomes the master and teach kung fu, sometimes children teach life lessons.

I enjoy company of children. I have 5 little sisters and a little brother. I might be calling them little out of habit because one of my sister is applying for undergraduate level of medicine and another sister is going to be in high school. Actually only the youngest one may qualify for this contest, maybe few more other who actions have left a poignant statement about dullness of adulthood in my mind.

My youngest sister is the most cheerful little kid I have ever seen. She laughs with such glee that it resonates with you heart and brings out your best smile. Not only she laughs uncontrollably and unprovoked she enjoys tickle fights and her favorite thing to do is attack me when I am not looking or worse, sleeping, and try to tickle me in submission. I am not that ticklish but, I think what I've taken from this is if you carry a genuine smile you bring out best in other people and not only make the whole world a little softer but also a little less neurotic.
I was helping around in my parents shop and little kid walked right in behind the counter. As a neurotic adult I was on guard and as I watched his every move I asked him from a safe distance what he wanted. He took out a 1$ bill from his hood's pocket and asked for candy. I playfully said to him that his money was no good and clearly a fake and I asked him to bring real money. He then offered me a counter trade and requested I trade what ever amount of candy I could give him for his fake money. It was so cute I let my guards down. Big mistake. He punched me on the throat and robbed the store. So I think what lesson we all can learn from this is to never, never ever let your guard down around kids. ok, sorry. I think what he really taught me was to make best out of every situation or maybe, it was to let people in, they're not all that terrible. I don't know. I'll ask if I find him. He must be at the park around this time, just let me grab my trenchcoat. What? it's chilly outside.

Wow, what a lesson you learned. I think not letting your guard down when you instinctively raise it...AND...making the best of any situation are both good points that come from this experience.
