#SteemLords - Sir Pheli and Baroness Bearone fall in Love

Sir Pheli and the Baroness remain wrapped in a fur when the remainder of the rangers return from plundering the trade vessel. The group was led by Sir Silvernova (please read here). They were able to acquire some meager clothing and kitchen tools to use as weapons for the quest ahead. Perhaps Sir Silvernova’s priorities need to be readdressed as he did find a great deal of pipe herbs and seasonings. Strangely any attempt to cover their female companions with the newly acquired clothing seamed to fail and the clothes would just fly off and fold themselves in a neat pile as if by magic or perhaps a curse. The rangers had hear mention of other teams from the quest for Excalibur during SirKnights previous message. They will need to seek out the assistance of King Théoden currently in Edoras in the morning. They will need his help to and escort on the North Anduin Road. After that the rangers will need to proceed East through the Gap of Rohan, then north to the Mirkwood. However, these are troubled times with Orcs and Ogres terrorising the villages of Rohan and the roads between.

After greeting the others and enjoying the meal and further introductions together, Sir Pheli and the Baroness once again had a chance to slip away together. They has bonded greatly during their activities in the afternoon and greatly enjoyed the sunset together. Sir Pheli was definitely beginning to feel strong emotions towards the Baroness and he hoped she he felt the same way.

Sir Pheli reached for her hand as they walked. It was a smooth hand, not that of the warrior she claimed to be. He felt it tremble slightly, he wondered what this meant. Was in fear for the journey, he hoped he was starting to feel emotions for him as well, or was it just too long since her last drink. Sir Pheli would have to work up the nerve to find out. He was a courageous warrior why is he feeling so scared right now, these are stronger emotions then he has felt before.

“Well Baroness” He finally found the nerve to speak “Have you enjoyed your day”

“Enjoyed my day?” Scoffed the Baroness. “We are stranded, my dragon companion has died, and I have a damn nudity curse cast me! How do you think I enjoyed my day?” She could see the pain this seemed to inflict in Sir Pheli and she followed with “This time with you has been the only bright spot.”

”Umm, well, that’s good I guess” Was all Sir Pheli could muster – He must meet this Lord Pervy (Oops Percival) on his travels and learn how to not be so damn awkward.

“Don’t be so weird…relax” The Baroness jabbed his side as they walked “You’re doing fine, I’m really starting to like you” and with that she pulled him to sit beside her on a log they were passing. She leaned in and kissed Sir Pheli, she could feel him start to tremble. Slowly her hands began to explore his rugged and powerful body, until they were wrapped in each other. For many hours they lay on the forest floor, exploring each other and expressing with their bodies what they couldn’t say to each other.

When the sun began to come up they both stirred. Still wrapped in each other, Sir Pheli spoke “Baroness, I Love you! Let’s give up this silly quest, come back to my kingdom and live with me”

A smile grew on the Baroness’s face, “I would like that, and I feel the same way. Who needs Excalibur, when we have each other. I hope the rest of the Rangers will be okay without us, we must go tell them our exciting news.”

Sir Pheli and Baroness made their way back to the cave where the others spent the night, hand in hand and giggling like the lustful lovers they had become. They were not aware of the orcs and dangers that lurk close by.

An axe flew from the nearby bushes. Striking the Baroness in the chest, she fell to the ground.

Sir Pheli looked around, he saw an Orc nearby. Enraged by the attack, Sir Pheli lunged and Orc. It was much larger then him but Sir Pheli was undeterred. He laid swift justice down on him with is bare hands, pummeling the beast with his pure rage, it did not stand a chance. It lay dead on the forest.

Sir Pheli rushed back to the Baroness, she was gasping for air, blood beginning to bubble from her wounds and erupting from her mouth. Sir Pheli wiped in away and they kissed one last time. With her dying breath the baroness spoke “Finished the quest, find Excalibur for me….I love you.”

With this Sir Pheli was devastated, he wept, holding the Baroness. Trying to tend to her wounds, trying to coax life back into her, trying anything he could he bring her back. His tears washed over her, and he just held her.

He didn’t know how long he lay there weeping and holding her, till Princess Loki found them. She joined in the weeping for her lost friend. Finally they mustered the energy to shroud the Baroness and Sir Pheli carried her back to the camp. Princess Loki retrieved the weapons and armour from the fallen orc.

Back at the cave, they entombed the Baroness with Shaduppaurface . They did harvest some scales and claws from the dragon, they may prove useful in they cross paths with the famed blacksmith Gohba

Sir Pheli wept again over the loss of his new love; he secretly hoped there was some way to bring her back, some magic in this land that would bring her back to him.

The remaining Rangers coaxed him away, we must get off this blasted beach and on with the quest. Time is passing fast and the remaining teams are making progress.
