#STEEMLORDS Tales: BattleWom's noggin of destiny

"Squi!" cried the minotaur. "A real-life BattleWom from myth and legend! You simply must let me make you a blazer!"

Mid-charge, BattleWom screeched to a stop. The minotaur was holding his hands to the side of his head in glee. "And your nails! So dirty! Let me do your nails! "

BattleWom considered the situation for a moment. And then another. "Aren't you a minotaur?" he asked at last.

"Yes!" The minotaur clapped his hands and gave a small bounce.

"The most feared creature of myth and legend?"

"Yes!" The minotaur clapped and bounced again. "The most feared after the majestic BattleWom of course! Squi!"

"And you want to do my nails?"

"Yes!" A flutter of small claps.

"Sure, why not?" said BattleWom.

"Aheeeeee!" said the minotaur and pushed BattleWom past a rack of dresses as he threw himself onto the bed. "Sit! Sit sit sit sit sit! "

Grrrrrrrrooooooooooowwwooooooowwwww said BattleWom's tummy.

"Sorry, but, um, have you anything to eat?"

"Yes," the minotaur looked sheepish. "But I don't like blood. Mum says I should rend and stuff, but I'd rather make dresses. Is that okay?"

"Oh me either," said BattleWom. "I much prefer to use my noggin. Have you got any strawberries?"

"Squi!!!"

                                       〰️➰〰️

BattleWom woke after long nap. The minotaur held up a mirror to show his handiwork, and then placed a helmet on BattleWom's head.

"This is the Helm of Beatrice. It is famed for its power. Let it assist you in your quest."

"Thank you. What about a gift for the High Priest of Himling? May I ask for a present for him?"

"Well, I was going to give you this frock," BattleWom's new friend held up a bright red dress with yellow flowers. "But's it's just his style, so you can gift him this if you wish."

BattleWom took the dress and thanked the minotaur for his help. Taking one last punnet of strawberries, he began to dig for the fate of the world (and to test his new nails).
