Hmmm... interesting, I never tried my hand at bots. I would just set a spread and leave it... usually I wasn't trying to maximise BTC/fiat anyway, it was more that there was something interesting that I was curious about.... or something that I thought had run it's course. High frequency sort of thing wasn't for me.. too much danger in getting caught out by a quick swing... but I'm sure that you can program in stop-losses.
