RE: The road to Steem Fest | Fears

Forget the beer, it's just lager, forget the wine, it's double the price of Europe... erm... local stuff... "lao khao"! Translated it just means "white spirit" and, indeed, could be sold in a hardware store, but is actually a rough version of sake.

There probably isn't time to visit some vineyards...mmm... about 3 hours from bangkok - and who'd be the one driving back?

!BEER

ahaha) the driver is always sober one
hopfelly we will find a good pint of an IPA somewhere in the BKK city!

Haven't had a pint of London Pride in 10 years!
There are some micro-breweries in BKK, so maybe a pub (taxi) crawl is possible.

Ahhh. Should I Bring one for u? Definitely we need a pub crawl! @detlev

Hi @rollie1212 - love to get one of your made beer.

We did a pub crawl in Lisbon, we did one in Krakow and there will be something on Saturday for sure

Just look in the SteemFest 4 app. More info will come.

is it available on iOS?

@detlev i'll try to pick some of @tsypabeer into my case)

LOVE that idea and will help you to let the !BEER free...

)) many thanks)
i'll check the luggage conditions and the customs)

I think you can bring it to Thailand. I had a lot of wine in my luggage this summer. But I'm not sure what amount is allowed. As we had 4 suitcases we had enough room....

Hey @rollie1212, here is a little bit of BEER for you. Enjoy it!

Lao khan seems not a problem to me as well )

btw, what are the wineries there in Thai?

Khao Yai region is the closest to Bangkok with wineries.

PB Valley and GranMonte are very close to each other. IMO GM has the better wine and food, PB is somewhat bland. We're talking 20 quid for a standard bottle.

Otherwise it's further north towards Chiang Mai - not a day trip.

Although the local exotic fruit liquers/sweet wines are often better than the grape wines.

Impressive, thanks gonna check it out!

Rare to find wine this far south, but Khao Yai has a peculiar microclimate and cooler than the surrounding area. Else have to go up into the mountains up North.

had an interesting chat with an agri professor in Chiang Mai, some years ago, he was experimenting on what could be grown organically - he gave up on grapes as need too much pesticide - but his fruit wines were... intoxicating.

That’s actually why I was so curious about it. So far south. I’ve been into wine business for 5 years before I find out beer could be more interesting and a variety of Tastes and aromas are crazy.

Anyway would like to try anything I could get in terms of wine and beer which is local.

Fear 3 activated 😂😂😂
