Steemjet Spaceforce First Offline Meeting
Greetings members of Steemjet Spaceforce community. This is Lordjames speaking in the words of SF1 members.
It is three days since the Steemjet community was officially launched and in that three days members of Spaceforce1 have been communicating seriously on developing a roadmap for the community. We've come to a conclusion that a physical meeting of a number of Spaceforce members would allow us to deliberate on these matters and arrive at something tangible for the rest of the team.
From the information received from the Hr database, we now know that over 50 percent of the Spaceforce members reside in southern Nigeria including three of SF1 (@mbj, @empato365, @deandaniel). After discussing this issue with the rest of the team on Whatsapp, we have decided to host the first Steemjet offline meeting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, southern Nigeria.
Why The Need For An Offline Meeting.
A lot of things can be done online but since it happens that 3/4 of SF1 are residing in Akwa Ibom, I believed a physical meeting would allow us to know each other better and foster collaboration among the team leaders. @lordjames who is staying in Abuja, northern Nigeria and the HR Lead, @joshuaetim, who lives in western Nigeria will travel to join other team head for the meeting this weekend.
What Options Are There For Those Who Are Not In Nigeria.
Since members of Steemjet are spread around the globe, we'll stream a live feed of the meeting on our Steemjet discord channel. Everyone should join the voice channel and participate in the meeting. Whatever we discuss will be broadcasted live and those who are not physically present can put in their opinions through discord.

What Are To Be Discussed?
Among other issues, we'll talk about the following
the vision of Steemjet (global Steem adoption) and how to achieve this.
Departments that are really necessary to help us achieve this vision.
projects to embark on to ensure we reach out to everyone on earth about Steem
getting content creators for our @steemjet account (what kind of content will we post here, and who can make posts here)
funding for approved departments and projects.
In light of this, discussion on issues of funding for any department is put on hold for now till after the meeting. We have received tons of proposals from different departments. We'll look through all of them to see which really needs funding and fund such. I want to encourage us to look more at what we can do for the community and funding should be secondary. Community first, money second.
When and Where
The meeting will hold on Sunday, May 27th 2018 at Food Affairs, Ikot Ekpene Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State by 3PM Nigerian time (2pm GMT). As mentioned above, live audio feed will be broadcasted on our discord server, and the opinions of others not present will be considered.

A job weldone @lordjames this is a great step towards the progress of the steemjet community. Having a physical meetings outside the regular online meeting will give room for intense deliberations and also help promote and build a good relationship between SF members.

I think it is a welcome development in the steemjet project. I hope you guys come to a reasonable understanding.
This is an excellent idea for the project, from here Venezuela, I send a great greeting and I report my willingness to participate in any of the ideas that arise in such a meeting (that are within my possibilities); I am very happy to be an employee of STEEMJET and I would like to know also what are the issues regarding the "contract" for being part of SPACE FORCE, knowing with respect to payments and financing.
I am in SF7 and I am very happy to share in this department with another Venezuelan (@gacorniel), also the great designer @jogreh is in Venezuela and we share many things in common (thanks to him we are in STEEMJET), always grateful with this talented boy!!!
The beautiful friend @banymaracara (the girl who invited me to steemit a few months ago) made a perfect audio recording for one of the contests of @dimimp ... I also told her to participate a lot in STEEMJET and therefore be a participant of the SF .
We have a great friend called @rosetargaryen that we are inviting her to be part of this community, I was one of the first to explain how they were all matters of STEEM and it has grown tremendously in steemit and makes some incredible posts !!!
