MASSACRE (A short fiction story)

"Allahu Akbar" the chant of joy filled the air as the leader of the group dumped another one into the big hole that was dug on the floor. The evil smirk on the leader's face proves he was having fun..

"Mənə başqa bir gətir" he said and one of the guards quickly grabbed a man who was on his kneels blindfolded. The man refused to bulge and that increased the anger of their leader.

"Bring him to me" their repeated, this time in English but even a lame man could notice the thick Azerbaijan accent in his voice.

"You fight for your country, you lose, now you die" their leader who had a long thick beard said and immediately drove the knife into the throat of the young soldier.

And just like he did the once before him, he pushed him into the hole that was getting filled.

And as if on queue, the rest of his men opened fire in the air, making sure their magazines got empty before bringing their hands down.

"The last one?" their leader asked..

" Bəli ser" one of the guards answered and watched his master walked out of the field.

He could tell that something worried his master, something so big that even after single handedly slitting the throat of 25 soldiers which they had captured after their last attack, he still wasn't happy.

And for a moment, the young soldier thought about surrendering to the military as it was obvious they were losing the war.

But he couldn't back out now, his family had died fighting for this group, and he was going to do the same.

"Allahu Akbar" he whispered to himself.
